DESIGN THINKING COMMUNITY SESSIONS

Design Thinking believes that innovation starts with people – bringing them together and, most importantly, working to understand and meet their needs. The five-step process is focused first on understanding the challenge at hand and how it impacts those around it.

CELEBRATION

InnoPower and Recorder Media Group are proud supporters of the Madam Walker Legacy Center as they celebrate 95 years of Black Excellence during their grand reopening over Juneteenth weekend. The Madam Walker Legacy Center is a significant piece of our nation’s history and is listed on the register of National Historic Landmarks. This historic building is a venue for celebrating cultural diversity and traditions, primarily through the African American perspective.

IMBW HIGHLIGHTS

InnoPower Minority Business Week (IMBW) has filled the gap for Black-Led innovation networks that bring together local, national. International entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs, leaders in the non-profit and private sectors, donors, and impact investors to network, share experiences/ideas, and make connections to address development challenges in Black communities in Indiana.

The last two years have brought unbelievable hardships to families and communities across Indiana. Black Hoosiers have especially felt the most pain as they battled “the triple pandemic” that includes the lethal Coronavirus pandemic, the twin evils of police brutality and disregard of Black life, and thirdly, equity issues that have tormented Black-Americans for generations.

When you partner or attend the InnoPower Minority Business Week, you have an opportunity to champion Indiana’s MVP businesses, become a legacy maker in the minority business community, and connect with some of the top leaders and firms at the forefront of positive change.
